The ubqiquitous mundanity of the A13 conceals a rich history of protest and uprising. The stretch of road which runs eastwards away from the city, passing through diverse and varied areas, is unwelcoming to the pedestrian who tries to use it as passage.





But amongst the cacophony of traffic and pollution a heritage of pedestrians taking ownership of the road can be imagined.
